When it comes to planning and organizing an event, no matter how much time and thoughtful attention are invested, sometimes the formula needs some tweaking and it’s back to the apothecary to rework the recipe.
Such was the case for the 2026 Wild Indigo Herb Fest. While the decision to reschedule was not taken lightly, we appreciated the opportunity to step back and regroup. We tweaked and adjusted and are beyond excited to share Wild Indigo Herb Fest 2027 with you.

One of the threads we pulled at when we started this journey was highlighting community herbalism and mutual aid. As the original event took shape it became more evident just how important this facet of herbalism is within our current climate.
With that in mind, while our theme of “cross pollination” remains, the larger focus centers on community and folk herbalism, mutual aid and medicine making. Wild Indigo Herb Fest will celebrate all the ways we show up for community through herbalism, free clinics, mutual aid and more.
In the spirit of community and sharing, we are also re-envisioning the keynote speaker platform as a discussion panel featuring seasoned community herbalists and community members within the aforementioned disciplines.
Further enhancing this new vision, we are relocating to Bellwether Farm in Wakeman, Ohio. A sustainable, regenerative farm located about 40 miles west of Cleveland, Bellwether features an amazing farm-to-table kitchen, multiple conference rooms, a beautiful 200-year old vendor barn, numerous hiking trails, and accommodations ranging from tent camping and RVs to group cabins with a shared bathhouse all the way up to private cabins with a/c and your own bathroom.
The first time we walked this farm we were giddy and are so looking forward to sharing this magical place with you all. We knew it was kismet when we saw the gorgeous stand of wild indigo in full bloom right outside of the main meeting hall!
We are now accepting presentation proposals and sponsorships with our updated vendor application coming soon.
We are working on the final details before tickets go live for this extraordinary herbal gathering, which will include an opportunity to register as a Founding Member, to show your support for community herbalism and mutual aid endeavors. More on that soon.
